Euro 2012 Sweepstake and Cure for Carys
Whether you love football or you hate it, Euro 2012 was inescapable and the Global Personals office was no exception to the rule.
In fact, even the non-football fans amongst us got involved with the fun as we ran our very own Euro 2012 Sweepstake. A number of Globalites entered for the chance to claim victory and congratulations must go to the lucky winners- Partner Manager, Gary and Accounts Assistant, Kasia, who both picked out Spain as the Euro 2012 Champions.
Entrants paid a pound to go into the draw and the total collected has been generously doubled by the Global Personals board. All proceeds will be donated to one of our nominated Global Giving charities, Cure for Carys.
Cure for Carys raises money for ground-breaking research into developing a cure for the debilitating disease, Rett Syndrome. The charity was founded by a member of our Globaldev team, James Westgate, after his daughter Carys was diagnosed with the illness. James recently completed the gruelling 3 peak challenge, climbing the 3 highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours as part of his long-standing endeavour to raise money for the cause.
