To kick off the New Year nicely, we put another Global Personals’ employee into our Spotlight! Let us introduce you to Chris. We put him through his paces of our quick-fire question round to see what he has to say…
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I head up Business Development. Scouring the globe for potential new partners, building positive relationships and growing our portfolio.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH THE COMPANY?
I started in July 2009 in the Admin department. The past year and a half feel like a matter of months!
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE GROWING UP?
Well apart from Batman it was very traditional I guess. Being addicted to football I dreamed about turning pro from a very young age. When I realised this was never to be, I toyed with the idea of singing or acting (neither of which I have an ounce of talent in by the way) and since then I have settled with becoming rich. This funnily enough relates back to Batman, never say never.
HOW WOULD YOUR WORK MATES DESCRIBE YOU IN 3 WORDS?
Only 3? Ok……Witty, Greek and Lad.
IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Now this is a tough one. Many debates have taken place with the boys over the years regarding wanting to fly. Of course this would be brilliant but let’s be honest, no matter where you go, you will be on your own, and this will not be fun forever! Therefore I would have invisibility. Just because you can’t see me, doesn’t mean I’m not there.
BIGGEST INSPIRATION?
Always Mum and Dad. I know this is obvious but without them I wouldn’t be here and I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Finishing a close second…..Batman.
MARMITE. LOVE OR HATE?
HATE HATE HATE…..In fact I am getting annoyed just thinking about it. I mean everything from the oily texture, the look, the smell, it’s just wrong. If marmite was a man he would be my nemesis!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE 3 WEBSITES AND WHY?
SkySports.com– It’s the sporting bible! From transfer gossip to team news, it keeps the world a better place!
TopMan.com– Prevents me from being naked, and ensures my bank account is always busy.
YouTube.com– where clowns become legends! What’s not to like about typing literally anything in and then watching a video(s) of something that exceeded you wildest expectations?!
A SECRET THAT NOBODY KNOWS?
I had flowing blonde curls when I was a little lad. That or my record breaking win on Kid’s TV show ‘Get Your Own Back’ when I was 11 (that’s not really a secret that nobody knows but any opportunity to get it on has to be taken).
WHAT ITEM ON YOUR DESK COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT (EXCLUDING YOUR COMPUTER)?
Henry Junior….The reason? Just look at him. Apart from the fact that he is one seriously cool dude, he is the only one who can remove crumbs from any keyboard!
