Listening to our Customers…

It may just seem like another week in the office but, as always, there are more exciting new projects emerging to keep us on our toes! Customer Care team member, Jenny, gives a round up of our latest developments.

After two days out of the office, I returned to an inbox brimming over with news of the updates and new features that we’re running. The Development Team, Globaldev are constantly coming up with new ideas to meet the demands of our ever-growing membership base, to help them succeed in their quest for ‘The One’.

Whenever the Globaldev team create a new update, we’re given a full demonstration over in Customer Care. This means that we can be confident in exactly what it does and how it operates, so that we can effectively explain it to our members when required. When things move at 100mph (like they do here!), it’s essential for us to stay informed.

Recent developments include a new Notification Bar, summarising the amount of new messages and winks that a member receives and a simplified search facility. The Bar ties in nicely with our summary feature on the right-hand side of a page. For new members, this informs them of the next steps they need to take to complete their profile; for example, adding a photo, writing some profile text and entering their postcode etc. Once a member has completed these steps, the bar is then used to show which members have recently viewed their profile, who has winked at them or has added a new diary post for others to read.

The bar went live recently after a trial period on Love2Meet, DatingAgency and FlirtNaughty and has so far been really well received. All feedback that comes in is recorded by us in the Customer Care team. Once we have accrued a reasonable amount of suggested enhancements from our members, feedback is passed on to the technical team so that they can investigate and make changes where appropriate. Thanks to the positive comments we’ve had so far, it looks like the Notification Bar is here to stay!

These changes are really exciting for us; we want the time that our members spend with us to be as enjoyable and tailored to their needs as possible. This is what drives each department forward every day.

Globaldev have informed us that they have plenty more up their sleeves for the coming month, so this time next week there will be many more tools to get up to speed with. But we wouldn’t have it any other way!
