Time for another Spotlight! Please meet Chris :-)
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m a PPC Executive working for the B2C team – in English terms I manage and optimise some of our branded dating sites via Google and their advertising platform, to ensure that I’m bringing in the right customers at the right cost.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH THE COMPANY?
Just over 5 months now.
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE GROWING UP?
I guess I’ve aspired to be all sorts of crazy and typical things. I’ve jumped from wanting to be a fighter pilot, to being a fireman and all the way to being a Marvel superhero. I’ve only just realised that I’d be no good at any of those ;-)
HOW WOULD YOUR WORK MATES DESCRIBE YOU IN 3 WORDS?
Charismatic. Laidback. Ambitious.
IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
The ability to read into the minds of people. I used to play a lot of poker so I could tell quite regularly when someone was bluffing or not.
BIGGEST INSPIRATION?
There has been a few people that have inspired me in different ways but if I had to choose someone that has been the biggest inspiration it would have to be my father.
MARMITE. LOVE OR HATE?
To be honest I’ve never actually tried it but if I did so, I reckon I would hate it.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE 3 WEBSITES AND WHY?
Techcrunch.com – I’m a very tech-orientated individual and I love to know what’s going down in the tech and mobile marketing industry.
Facebook.com – just can’t get enough of it, highly addictive but also a huge time waster. To be honest I get more news from Facebook than I do anywhere else. Shocking really!
Google.com – you’re one click and keyboard / touchscreen types away from anything you want to read. :-)
A SECRET OR FACT THAT NOBODY AT WORK KNOWS?
I’m petrified of huge waves; I tend to get nightmares about them on a regular basis. Strange really considering I like to body board.
WHAT COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT AT WORK (EXCLUDING YOUR COMPUTER)?
It would be 2 things – my headphones and Spotify. I like to listen to music when I’m in the ‘zone’.
